Jonell Galloway grew up on Wendell Berry and food from a backyard Kentucky garden. She studied at the Cordon Bleu and La Varenne cooking schools in Paris, and collaborated on the GaultMillau restaurant guide, Around the World with 80 Breads; André Raboud, Sculptures 2002-2009; Ma Cuisine Méditerranéenne; At the Table: Food and Family around the World with Ken Albala; and numerous other books. She ran a cooking school in France, owned a restaurant in Kentucky, organizes the Taste Unlocked workshops in Chartres, and runs the website The Rambling Epicure. She now lives between France, Switzerland, and Italy.
